A Busy Weekend!

We had a lovely day at Junk Jamboree on Saturday, we met some lovley people, parted company with some of our dollies, and the cake was superb!

Sunday was another busy day, I had free tickets to a massive craft and art show at the NEC in Birmingham, so My Mum and me had a great play away day.
The show was packed, and business seemed to be rather brisk for all the traders. I was amazed at how much stuff people seemed to be buying. There were loads of free workshops and demonstrations too for anyone who fancied having a go at something new.

My favourite stall of the day was Roosters Creations

Scott makes colourful and original sculptures using recycled metals, I love seeing something a bit different, and Scott's work certainly fits that description.

In contrast, another artist who caught my eye was Chris Webb, a fine art photographer, whose images are both quiet and dramatic at the same time. I do urge you to visit the website, the images are beautiful!

Introducing Penny

Penny is one of my newest brooches, which will be sale for the first time at Junk Jamboree this Saturday.

This one has very pale blonde hair, but I've made dark haired, and red headed Pennys too. If you can't make it to Junk Jamboree then check my Etsy shop next week, when Penny, and the other new girls will be available there.

Junk Jamboree 10th November 2012

I'm going to be selling my wares at Junk Jamboree in Colchester next Saturday.....

We've been to the previous events, and the vintage and handmade criteria suits Dottie Dollie perfectly. There will be vintage clothing and housewares, live music, delicious handmade cakes and teas. This time there is even a hair salon!

Perfect to start your Christmas shopping, or just to treat yourself...

I'm really excited, and getting things ready for Saturday. I will have some completely new brooches & fridge magnets which have not been in the Etsy shop yet. I've also got a massive amount of jewellery stock that has not been previously listed either.
Keep your eyes peeled for a few glimpses as the week progresses.....

The clocks ticking.....so make a date in your diary, and come and say "hello" and see all the new stock before anyone else!

Bourne Hall is located in Priory Street, just opposite a large car park, so you could easily make a day of it. I would recommend a visit to Firstsite while you're here, or  the Treasures of China exhibition at Colchester Castle. There are some great shops, bars and restaurants in town or you might even fancy going to see the animals at Colchester Zoo !!!

Hope you can make it :0)
