Until relatively recently I always sculpted in plastiline, and then cast my dolls from porcelain.
One of the interesting things about sculpting in paperclay is that you can draw on the head, to test out how the face will look when you start to paint it.....
Now she is ready to be sanded, and sealed in gesso, then I can start to put the real paint on!
